Yes, you can buy a business list from a lot of different sources - and yes, those may be tailored to your BuyBox, but what we found is that different sites have different information, some of it reliable, some is not. We compile information from multiple sources, weed out the ones that have recently sold, skip trace and enrich the data to make sure its as thorough as possible. I firmly believe that if there is a piece of information that we don't have, it is not publicly available

Fact is, you don't. If you are very organized and know how to set it up properly, you can successfully manage your contact list on a spreadsheet. Can you do it? Yes.
